The Underwater Sculpture Garden

Designed by Jason de Caires Taylor, this underwater sculpture garden is slightly north of the capital town of St. Georges. This park is one of the most popular snorkelling and scuba diving sites which reflect Grenada’s culture. Fashioned from a variety of media but predominantly from simple substrates including concrete and rebar, they create an ideal substrate, relatively fixed and permanent, on which marine life may develop. As artificial reefs, these sculptures are proving highly successful as they attract a stunning array of marine life. Also attracting visitors, they have indeed fulfilled a role in easing the environmental pressure on other reefs. So swim on down and experience the underwater world of these amazing man made sculptures.
