Job Opening: Accounting Manager, Barbados & Eastern Caribbean
We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual who has a strong background in accounting and leadership, with exceptional management skills.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Management of the Accounting Team (based in Barbados).
- Oversee all the accounting department's processes & systems.
- Improve accounting systems and procedures where possible.
- Responsible for accurate interim, monthly and year-end reporting.
- Budgeting and Financial Planning.
- Ensure all accounting technology platforms operate optimally.
- Coordinate and complete the annual external audit process.
- Preparation and submission of Government reporting/filings.
- Coordinate external industry required reporting: (Eg. International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Anti Money Laundering (AML) Compliance reporting).
Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role or an Accounting Designation (eg. CA, CPA etc.)
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to direct and motivate staff.
- Experience using the travel industry specific TRAMS accounting software would be an asset, but it is not necessary.
