We are looking for a detailed oriented and sales minded person with the drive to succeed to join Bahamas team as our Business Development & Marketing Associate.

Join us if you can grow our market share by actively pursuing new business opportunities, and engaging existing and potential clients by effectively promoting our next generation travel services via traditional and emerging social platforms.

Your contribution to the team includes:

  • Actively engaging in networking opportunities to development new corporate and leisure businesses
  • Prospecting, meeting, selling and closing travel business opportunities for Bahamas office
  • Creating awareness and raising interest in travel services through direct communication, social media platforms, face to face meetings, telephone calls with groups of all sizes and levels of management
  • Establishing and maintaining ongoing client relationships
  • Actively and successfully managing the sales process from lead generation to negotiation close and travel advisor assignment
  • Responding to travel tenders and requests for information
  • Creating and being accountable for all client proposals including developing and negotiating contracts and pricing in accordance with specific business operations
  • Attaining and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of products, services and travel management value proposition
  • Developing, executing and managing marketing campaigns to promote the Bahamas offices
  • Developing, executing and managing all social media marketing activities
  • Liaising with Marketing Department on all promotional functions
  • Responsible for branding, advertising, trade shows, promotional and company events
  • Working with management on media relations projects, business communications and promotional stories
  • Planning and implementing in-house promotions and identifying areas to target for promotion of branch locations
  • Tracking sales and marketing processes to ensure business development goals are being achieved
  • Discussing and analyzing all areas of commercial performance and suggesting workable ideas and solutions to improve revenue and profit generation
  • Attending industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and providing feedback and information on market and creative trends
  • Staying abreast of travel industry developments and changes, and utilize that knowledge to become a trusted adviser and convert prospects to customers.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and arranging visits and presentations for travel advisors 

We want a great team player who works well in collaborative situations! Knowledge of the travel industry will be advantageous, however your sales and marketing prowess and tenacity are our priorities. You will also need:

  • At least three (3) years’ experience in sales, business development or account management with proven track record of carrying and exceeding a quota
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and is able to present, negotiate and close contracts in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Social Media Marketing experience in a corporate marketing role
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Own reliable transportation
