Montego Bay

When to Visit

In terms of weather, the best time to visit Montego Bay would be around the months of March and April as there is little to no rain fall and the temperatures are cool. Or maybe traavel around the third week in July when both locals and visitors visit Montego Bay to witness the regional and international artists who perform at the Reggae Summer Fest. The five-day event hosts five different events: Sumfest Beach Party, All White Party, Dance Hall Night and International Night 1 and International Night 2. July is also the month of the Montego Bay Jerk Festival and Gospel Concert. This is the perfect time for tourists to experience an authentic family oriented Jamaican tradition which is held annually.

Things to Do

Travel to Up Town Jamaica and explore the tropical shores of Montego Bay. This north coast ecstasy is the home to a number of activities including an amusement park, golf courses and a variety of sea side resorts. Montego Bay also accommodates the island’s largest cruise port where you can join both visitors from cruise ships and guests from hotels supporting in-bound shops and craft vendors. There are also sightseeing tours where visitors are shown various parts of the island and its natural beauty.

Where to Go

Martha Brae River

Known as one of the popular tourist areas, Montego Bay offers a wide range of exciting and relaxing activities to choose from. While there, try rafting on Martha Brae River and experience the three-mile stretch of bamboo rafting, or view the stunningly nourished lawns and beautiful landscape as you cruise through the river. You may also relax among the picnic grounds which are equiped with full service bars and a swimming pool or mingle among the souvenir shops or tour the Martha Herb Garden.

Doctor’s Cave Beach

While in Jamaica, be sure to visit the unforgettable Doctor’s Cave Beach. With new and improved facilities, the beach has all the amenities to keep its visitors happy including gift shops, a café, beach chairs and umbrellas and the new and exciting “Groovy Grouper” Beach bar which serves a variety of food and drinks.
