Job Opening: Marketing Coordinator - Barbados

We are searching for a resourceful, creative and self-starter Marketing Coordinator to support our marketing team. This person will assist with the development of new initiatives aligned with Going Places Travel’s marketing goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the team to develop, execute and maintain a comprehensive marketing strategy to foster engagement and growth
  • Collaborate with strategic partners to create mutually beneficial marketing campaigns that drive agency growth
  • Create brand awareness through direct communication, social media platforms, meetings, and other relevant marketing platforms
  • Coordinate with the marketing design and content teams to generate digital and print advertising material that connect with target audiences
  • Lead the creation and execution of internal and external promotional events
  • Manage email, website, and social media channels to engage with customers and answer questions
  • Monitor and analyze consumer behavior metrics to assess the impact of marketing initiatives and make adjustments to achieve marketing goals
  • Develop, execute and manage marketing campaigns to promote all Going Places Travel offices
  • Source data from various tools to aid in marketing analysis and review

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in marketing or related field
  • Experience in managing social media platforms and executing successful marketing campaigns
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an eye for storytelling and ability to adapt according to marketing style and application
  • Working knowledge of design programs (Canva) and a strong aptitude for editing web content
  • Proficiently use search engines, web analytics, and business research tools
  • Creative thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid computer skills including G-Suite, web analytics and Google Adwords

Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or related field is an asset
  • At least 3-5 years experience in the field of Graphic Design
  • A strong portfolio of graphics, design materials, illustrations or other artwork
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or Affinity Suite
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of video editing software is a plus

Successful candidate will be responsible for payments to assigned vendors and serve as an auditor, ensuring that invoice procedures are correct and consistently adhered to.

Specific Job Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining Accounts Payable
  • Managing Ledgers and Processing Invoices
  • Posting and balancing ledger accounts
  • Completing Bank Reconciliations and monitoring cash flow

Ideal Candidate:

  • BA/BS in Accounts or equivalent with three (3) years of relevant work experience
