This carnival sees four days of masquerade and parades through the streets of Martinique displaying the island’s culture. For the sports enthusiast, enjoy Tour de Martinique during July. This cycling competition, similar to the Tour de France sees numerous cyclists pedalling through the streets and nature paths of Martinique. Seeking swaying melodies of sweet music, travel during late November and early December for the Martinique Jazz Festival. This festival is the Caribbean’s longest running jazz festival and features numerous international artistes descending on the shores of the island for 10 days of activity.
